A Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is most commonly referred to as a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) in the United States

The difference between a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and a Hazard Analysis (JHA) is essentially just the terminology. They are fundamentally the same. They both outline your job steps, the potential hazards in undertaking the task, and the control measures required to reduce the likelihood of an injury or incident to an acceptable level.

Bricklaying Safe Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

People often ask, "Can I have a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for Brick Work?" "A document that covers everything?"  The answer is not really. Well you could create a document that covers most areas of brick and block work, but it would be hundreds of pages long and would contain more items that did not apply to your project, than items that did.

A Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) needs to document step by step how you are going to do a particular job. Not all jobs are the same! Are you going to install bricks to a single story or a 2 story house. Brick or blocks? Are you going to cut your bricks with an angle grinder or a gasoline powered brick saw?
Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) templates for bricklaying are included in all versions for the JSEAsy Environmental Health and safety software
There are hundreds of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) templates also known as Job Safety Analysis (JSA) included in all versions of the JSEAsy safety management software.

The steps in undertaking each of these tasks are very different. Not only are the steps different, but the potential hazards and the hazard control measures are very different as well.

The JSEAsy safety management software builds your site specific JHA for your brick or blockwork job by adding templates of the steps you are going to take, in the order in which you are going to take them.
